Adapter owners using Vegas

This is only for people with adapters that don't have a "flip" funtion.

I'm not sure if you all know this, but I just found something out for myself that will make my life so much easier.

I've never taken on a large project with lots of adapter footage, only small tests here and there. I'm about to embark on a half-hour long video after this post...Normally to flip my image around, I adjust the pan/crop section of each individual clip.

Instead of doing that for every single clip, you can just click the "track motion" button on the track you're working with. Then right click in the right portion of the viewing area and flip the image horizontal and vertical. PRESTO! Now every clip you drag into that track will automatically be flipped :laugh:

Doing it either way you mentioned will add more strain to CPU. If you right click on the clip, choose properties, media tab and set rotation at 180 degrees you will see no additional strain and your CPU usage will not increase. You have to do it to all the clips but if you have a big project it will help your preview run more smoothly and render times come down.

You can also use copy / select events to end / paste even attributes..

or plugin "adam's flip"..

i'm working with vegas 6 and i couldn't find the rotation option...what version do you have?
 
oh yes, you're right! I have Vegas Pro 8. I also have 6 and I see that option isnt available there. You can get the upgrade Vegas Pro 8 version from B&H for 99 dollars. I got it from the there.

they have an upgrade for only $99? i wish i had that money...maybe in a few months. thanks for the tip though!
