Actor's looks 'Best & Worst' HDTV List

Well, making ageing actress' look good has been the cameraman's bread butter since this business began. Most of the examples in the article use HD shot of people, not at their best, but on the red carpet and the like. When the pro make-up artists and DPs get done, they'll look fine.

1. Jessica Alba
It's appropriate that Ms. Alba starred in Sin City because she looks so good in high-def that it should be a sin. Her skin is luscious and her lips are full and fleshy. This Alba is the toast of the town.

I have to agree with this! yummy!

Wow

What an insightful article Crazyideas; thanks for sharing. What is this the National Enquirer forum?

This is the part I think is really interesting..

"Editor's Note: The High-Definition TV picture is so clear that aging signs and skin imperfections are dramatically visible. Phillip Swann, president of TVPredictions.com, generated international media attention for his 2004 list of the 10 celebrities who look better -- and worse -- under the unforgiving lens of high-def. Now, Swanni has named his 2005 'Best and Worst' in HDTV. If you're a member of the media and would like to interview Swanni about HDTV and/or "The List," call 703-505-3064 or e-mail: "

Funny... I remember having some of these same concerns back in 1998 when I first got an opportunity to shoot HD. Is this supposed to be a revelation?

She's a no-talent crotch fesent, and should never have been allowed to step foot on the Sin City set. She should stick with quality movies like Into the Blue.

Making that distinction for yourself is part of the fun!

Thanks for the post, I thought the sarcasim was my imagination, LOL!!

That's alright, I can take it! I'm new to the world of HD, it never occured to me how it can screw an actors career...

Anyway, I'm filming a show to air on my local cable chanel using the dxv100a about a real black artist cutting his first music single, the footage is priceless, especially the outdoors stuff taken with my new multicoated uv filter, both sided multicoated (hoya), very contrasty!

I'll post some clips when ready..

.....about a real black artist.

Is it about a real black artist like in a gothic, dark and depressing artist way or real black like about an authentic black person? Or is it a black artist who is really black like Seal or the ethiopian runner Yeniealem Ayano?

DISCLAIMER - I am merely trying to be funny and intend no harm or foul and if this was in bad taste just say it. I apologise in advance and for those of you that know me (albeit virtually) know I mean nothing of the sort. It could have been a 'Real White' artist I would have said the same thing.

I am 'Real Bohemian' artist wannabe!

If a great actor shouldn't be in movies or tv because of wrinkles, then hollywood is really in trouble and no Format will help us.
