Action Sequences

Hi,
I'm shooting a short film that involves a few martial arts action sequences.
Some scenes involve weapons while others dont.
I'm aware of the OH&S, I will most likley be using martial artists.
Does anyone have tips, tricks and or sugestions for shooting such, including pre & post. things to be aware and look out for?

Thanx

:kali: Action sequences need military style planning. Get a great stunt-director in unless your plan to do it yourself. Watch films with fight sequences that you like and get some ideas down on paper. Make sure the sequence is fully blocked and rehearsed before you get on set. It's best to have an Armorer if you plan on using weapons. The last thing you want is someone getting hurt. You've got to start thinking about insurance too. Even if someone slips on your set, you better make sure you've got public liability. Try not to use real weapons. DON'T LET ANYONE MESS AROUND ON SET. If you approach the whole thing from a seriously planned standpoint remember that something you didn't think of will go wrong.

Enjoy it! :)
All the best.
J.P.
