Action Movie Question...

Been asked to help a friend shoot an action flick. I agreed, but I'm hesitant as to whether I want to use the 35mm adapter or shoot it with the naked lens (XH-A1). I plan on storyboarding with the director and composing the shots, but from what I'm gathering it's a pretty small shoot so I'll be on my own for focus.

I think it'd be an interesting challenge, but from those who may have been in my situation before is it a losing battle to fight trying to shoot action and pull focus?

I just shot an action on a bare XHA1. I had a letus, but decided not to use it simply because it was so heavy and cumbersome. Lots of times you want to have the camera moving quickly, or in corners or something like that, and an adapter would be really difficult to use. I guess more than anything it comes down to how much time/patience you have. I'd personally recommend the canon wide angle lens that they make for the XHA1. That thing is great.
