action cam section?

I'm beginning the process of re-thinking our site structure and also have been thinking about areas where the community might benefit from additional sub-forums.

I was just curious if there is an audience here for "action" cameras and cinematography... ie. gopro, etc... mounting cameras to bikes, helmets, etc... stunt photography, crash cams, etc... That sort of thing.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a good item, when it comes to aerial photography the GoPro is the most popular and for many sports it appears to still be the marker leader, although I've noticed Sony seems to be aiming a camera or two at this market.

I'd be interested. I use my gopros a fair amount (at least until my Hero 2 died. Eyeing the Hero 3+ before too long) and am always interested in seeing how others use them.

Absolutely - I requested it some months ago.

Most important not to call it 'goPro' section as they are just one of the options (admittedly the primary option this year or two)
