Acoustic group recording scheme

For a long time I have wanted to make a music video and now I will have a chance. No headbangers for me, the acoustic quartet has violin, acordian, bass and guitar. They play django reinhardt style music. The venue will be in my low budget small studio space which is a box of an office with acoustic treatment on the walls, bass traps in the corners and carpet on the floor. I would describe it as lively but without echo, and not at all as good as a formal studio. I can do four channels easily, but could do 6 phantom and a couple additional dynamics at the max. My mic locker incudes the following
2ea AT4053b
2ea Oktava 012 with cardioid caps
2ea CAD M37 large condensers
And some shotguns, lavs and dynamic interview mics

Originally, I had thought about a separate channel for each instrument. My brother, who is a pro jazz musician and also does recording for small acoustic groups suggested doing an XY on the entire group and then mic the guitar and base on there own tracks since the violin and acordian will be louder.

This is a fun and amateur project for both parties and probably would go no farther than Utube or Vimeo. I would consider a new mic or two, but would prefer to use what I have.

I would like to hear other suggestions
