Redrock micro sells a Achromat for the M2 and I was curious if using a Century Precision Optics' Achromatic Diopter would work as good (they come in three versions 1.6 2.0 and 2.6 magnification). Anyone use the Centry optics with the M2?
I have the century 2.6 and it indeed will not work. It's a beautifull piece of glass, and in my opinion far better than the one RR supplies, however it just isn't powerfull enough. You need at least a 3.0 diopter to get the job done.
Century Precision Optics sells 58mm a +7 Achromatic Diopter as well. It is $220 though and you would need the step up/down rings as well. I have no clue if that is enough for the M2 though.
I bought the RR 55mm +10 to replace my Century Optics +7 and, other than not having to zoom in as much and the price, I haven't noticed any difference between the two.
