Hey I am try to render a couple of my projects and Architect has developed some kind of a new problem and I don't know how. I prepare and burn DVD it goes through the process and then prematurley ejects the DVD and completes the process telling me that it completed without errors, but looking at the bottom of the DVD it didn't burn all the way and it doesn't work. HELPPPPPP PLEEEEAAAASE:S

I would first try with another dvd media. I had some trouble with cheap blank dvd's which could cause a lot of headache.
Secondly, use dvd architect teplates for burning a dvd and don't change any of the bit-rate settings to see how it goes.
Is your file too big maybe?
You shouldn't have any trouble burning up to about an hour of video in high quality. Anything above that is compromising the quality.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Or "burn" it to the harddrive and then to the DVD using another program. (That way, you'll have a copy readily available for burning more disks, too. :)

alright how would u burn it to the drive and then what program would you use to send it do the disk?

Just click on prepare dvd select a new directory on your harddisk to write the files out to. It should create two directory video_TS and audio_TS(this will probably be empty). You can then just burn those directories with all of their files onto the root directory of a "DVD DATA DISK" with another program.

Or if you have nero you can create a new DVD video disk and then add all of the files in the video_TS directory into the video_TS that nero creates.

Either way it should preserve all of your menus and chapters from DVD architech.

Hope that helps. Try a few thing using a DVD-+RW that way if it doesn't work you can rewrite it.

Thanks mucho I'll try. In the meantime does anyone else know why Architecht my be doing this?

Are you having Architect do the encoding for you? Have you tried only preparing the folder and then later burning the file from a previously prepared folder? That way you can tell if it is in the preparation or the burn that something is going wrong? Have you tried re-preparing the folder? Sometimes there can be an error during the DVD preparation. Did you try deleting the prepared folder and re preparing? That is a lot of "prepares" for one post. :)

First try different type of media and make sure it is the correct media for your drive. You might also need to update your firmware if you updated your operating system (IE SP2) Check your manufacturer's website to see if their any issues and update any drivers needed.

Or your ASPI layer could be broken.... go to Adaptec's website

Worth checking, I had a similar problem , fixed the ASPI layer hey presto!
