Achieving HD on Youtube

I upload to Exposure Room, and sometimes Vimeo, all the time and am very satisfied with the quality. When I upload the same videos to Youtube, the HD feature never seems to work. Looks fine normal size but there is no HD button to increase the size and quality. What is the secret to encoding for Youtube HD?

My typical settings:

(HVX 720 30p footage)
Quicktime H264 - 1280 x 720, bitrate 3000, keyframes 30, audio 24,000khz 16 bit.
Typical file size 40-50mb

Finally achieved it. Looks like the solution was for the audio to be 44kh AAC instead of 24 or 48.

Don't upload any videos in 44.1K audio or else it will have skipping playback for everybody. This is a bug with Youtube's player.

Thanks for the tip. It was stuttering badly, but I assumed that was due to the older computer I was watching it on. Figured since it was finally viewable in HD
all would be OK on my MBP. Will check out your tutorial.
