ACHD audio not working until clip is conformed.

Is this just the way it is, or should I be able to edit the footage with audio before everything is conformed in cs5.5?
 
I think that's the way it is... at least for me. I think it's the audio that has to be conformed somehow, not sure why since I use the same sample rate in filming and editing...
 
Ok, thanks! I just switched over to cs5.5 and wasn't sure if I needed to tweak a setting or something.
