Ac3 help .... authoring

Hello. I am new to vegas interface. I am mostly an avid editor. However, i would like to create a 5.1 ac3 audio track. I did all my panning the way i want it and next i rendered the audio as an ac3. It saved to the desktop as a POWERDVD file. Whenever i open the file it plays the correct channels however it is not just audio; it is also video (black screen).

Now, when i add it to dvd archetect, it does not remain a 5.1 channel file, instead splits it into two L/R channels.

Additionally, i'd like to use this file for use with ReelDVD authoring program. However it says that it needs to be demuxed! This is because the rendered file is also rendering blank video for some reason.

Please help. Sorry if i sound like an idiot.
 
No video renders with the file. That's just PowerDVD dealing with having no video.

As for DVD Architect, you have to make sure you're using a 5.1 project setting, not a stereo DVD setting. (And you DID render it as 5.1, right?)
