Absolutely no vignetting

On the LETUS DIRECT website they describe the LETUS EXTREME as having "Absolutely no vignetting". What do they mean by that? I tend to zoom in at 74 to make sure I have no vignetting. Am I to understand I don't need to zoom in that far?

"Absolutely no vignetting" as caused by the condensor and achromat. The Letus itself doesn't vignette, but the lenses will to varying degree because the GG itself is larger than FF35 frame. Wider lenses vignette more.

Actually I find "Absolutely no vignetting" a rather strong statement . As viewed on a chart, my Extreme on my Ex-1 vignettes a bit, though you might not notice it a most shots. Its not bad but its not a flat chart either. The Ex-1 is also the hardest camera to adapt t for most of these units though.

Every lens on the planet has edge fall off...and every adapter uses optics. The single largest problem with 35mm adapters when it comes to edge fall off is that the condenser is not accurate to the optical chain that it's used in. That's why we have multiple CINEFUSE choices, which are tailored to the camera platform's optical chain. Each of our CINEFUSE elements integrates optics for this reason. This minimizes edge fall-off, particularly with wide angle zoom lenses, but keep in mind that every single SLR lens ever tested has fall-off..sometimes a full stop, at the edges.

"Absolutely no vignetting" is a statement that we do not use. We also quote light loss numbers assuming a 50mm f1.4 lens is attached. Quoting light loss numbers with a bare adapter makes no sense either...because it's impossible to use an adapter without a lens attached!
