Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

I was the same way about the book, but being a fan of pride & prejudice & zombies I figured I would give it a read. I like the teaser, will be interesting to see what items from the book they keep and what they don't.
 
I just can't get into this one. It is even too over the top and silly for me, and I love films like Dead Alive, Bad Taste, the Evil Dead series, etc.

I've always thought it silly when people say "the vampire and zombie trend has jumped the shark" or things along those lines, but after seeing the trailer for this Abe Lincoln: Vampire Slayer, I think that maybe those people need to start speaking up now. Seriously, I love a good vampire story, but this is just dumb and pointless.
 
If Bekmambetov was as good with story as he is with visual style, he'd be a modern master.
