Hello guys,

I want to know more about the new Anamorphic lens for the DVX from Century Optics
there is a web page about it ? what the reference of this model.
Also if its really better than the pana anamorphic lens ?
and if someone know the price

It doesn't exist yet. It should be superior to the Panasonic. It's expected to cost over twice as much, with an MSRP of $2000 to $2500.

No, because there is no product yet. It's only been informally talked about on this and other websites as something that will be released. There is no info, there is no model #, there is no product, there hasn't been a formal product announcement or press release or anything yet. You can search for the posts from user "Ken Robings" to see what he's said about the upcoming product here on this forum...

They've been developing this anamorphic since the release of the DVX. I've been waiting for their lense. As I understand it, it will be a 3 lense affair conpared to the panny's two lense anamorphic. It will be expensive but should be better.

If you can get to Amsterdam in September, I understand Century will be showing it at IBC 2004.
