Film records at 24 frames per second. NTSC television is 60 fields per second, which roughly translates to 30 frames per second. There's a difference; pulldown is a way to get from 24 FPS to 30 FPS.
You are in PAL world; there are no pulldown issues for you. The DVX records at 25p or 50i; these are operationally the "same" "frame rate," so there is no pulldown needed. Yes, there is a difference between the two, but not such to require anything like a pulldown.
