about MatteBlox

I'm thinking about getting one of those. For those of you who're using the MatteBlox. I have some questions for you guys. I have a 72mm thread on circlula polarizing filter(from my still photography kit) that I want to use on my DVX.

So how would this filter be installed with the matteblox?

If it can be installed on with the matteblox, then how can you turn the fiter ring to get the max polarizing effect? I would think with the large matteblox hood on, it would be very hard to reach the filter ring.

Matteblox's 72mm kit includes 4x4 square filter holders. So I guess they're not meant to be turnable, right? I think for some other more expensive metal matte boxes you can have a built-in turning mechanism(more like the focus ring on a lens)where you can slide in the polarizing filters.

If I'm going with MatteBlox, what are the essential 4x4 filters(brands?) I need to buy? A polarizer, a couple of ND filters(please specify), and what else? I know 4x4 filters are very expensive, so I'm trying to keep this filter list short.

Thanks for the help.

You can actually turn the Matteblox itself, which in turn, turns the filter. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Many mattebox have 2 or 3 filters holders and at least 1 of them can be rotated (por polarizer, graduated filters, etc.. The 4x4 filters are square, but larger than lens area, so you can adjust it up / down to place a graduated filter where needed and rotate them.
Basic filters set up should be: polarizer, grad .6 ND, grad blue, grad orange.
