AbelCine is proud to introduce our new event series, AbelCine EXPOs. An AbelCine EXPO is a free event in one of our facilities, focused on a specific technology. Instead of a traditional trade show with dozens of manufacturers showing a wide variety of cameras, optics, audio, lighting, support, workflow and other production resources, we narrow the topic to a particular technology and invite a few hand-selected manufacturers to demo their products. This allows you the opportunity to get hands-on time with the products that interest you most and to learn from the experts.
Our December NY event will be AbelCine EXPO: Innovations In Lighting.
Traditional tungsten lighting is energy inefficient and produces a great deal of heat. Governments and clients are beginning to require the use of “green technology” in lighting, and the classic tungsten light bulb may soon be a thing of the past. While early substitutes were limited in application and color quality, the latest generation of new technology lighting finally offers real alternatives to the old standbys.
AbelCine EXPO: Innovations in Lighting is scheduled for 12pm-6pm, December 15[SUP]th[/SUP] in our New York facility. Manufacturers participating in the EXPO include ARRI, Hive, Litepanels, Lowel, Nila, PRG and Zylight. Presentations, hands-on seminars, and a lecture by esteemed cinematographer David Mullen, ASC, will be part of the day’s activities.
