Sometimes the camera you want to shoot with does not record in the format you wish to capture. You might need a higher recording standard for your deliverable, or a recording directly compatible with your editing system. You may need a simpler format for quicker post or offline editing, or perhaps your camera can output a high quality RAW file but requires a separate recorder to capture. There are now a variety of camera-mounted recorders available which allow the user to decide separately which camera, which recording format, and which post path is most appropriate for a given production.
AbelCine EXPO: Camera-Mounted Recorders is scheduled for 6pm-9pm, January 31st in our New York facility. Manufacturers participating in the EXPO include AJA, Atomos, Convergent Design, and Sound Devices, with additional participation from Canon, SanDisk, Zeiss and Nila. Presentations, a technical seminar, hands-on time and a Q&A session will be part of the day’s activities. The event will also be available over the internet via Livestream.
We will show recording in ProRes, DNxHD, 4K video and Uncompressed RAW. There will be at least two pieces of kit presented which have never been shown working in public before! For additional information and to RSVP to this FREE event, please go to this link:
