Abel Cine New Website

Very nice site. I just wish their store hours ran a little bit longer so I could get there after work.

I've been attempting to send an email to jared@abel.com reguarding the DVX100b discount that they Abel gives to DVXusers and I keep getting an e-mail back from "postmaster" saying

I'm looking to find out how to get the discount. Thanks to all who reply.

it varies on items.. its a pretty good discount though, and you get a few hundred dollars worth of freebies as well if you buy a camera.

They ganked my anniversary quote!

Oh, my dear sweet glavin, I'm the only member with a quote. I feel special, and at the same time, kinda dirty.

And yet, the wife is in bed, and where again do I find myself?

47 posts to 1K, that's where.

I just purchased a DVX 100B today and would like to toss out my recommendation for dealing with Abel CineTech.

Mike Ski was real helpful and expedient on getting a unit to me when i needed it.

Can't go wrong here.

Congrats man! Now get out there and shoot, shoot, shoot!

I will definitely check them out when I next need to get equipment. I just REALLY wish they were open either past 6pm weekdays or on Saturday. By the way where do you go in NYC on a Saturday if you need equipment that you can't find at a PC Richard's type store?

Good question.

I've luckily never had to do it myself but maybe J and R? They have a camera specialty store that is not anywhere nearly as comprehensive as BH or Abel but in a pinch you maybe able to find some smaller items. Otherwise just make sure to plan ahead for any contingency.

Ohh and my 100B got a real workout this past weekend. Its the best friend I've made in years.
