HELP! WHen i placed the dvxuser battery on the cam I thought it was locked in but the stupid thing wasn't and it fell off and hit the ground.....a good 4.5 feet. What can happen??? Can i still use it or what?

Did you snap it back on the camera to see if it still works? I've dropped batteries before and they've still worked.

Either it will still work or it will not......
I'd let it run down, re charge it and run it down again, timing it to see how long it last.
I too have dropped my batteries a few times and luckly had no problems.

I dropped my Powerbook from 4.5 feet onto a tile floor and it's been running for over a year since.
The battery is a little weak, but I think that's because it's getting old, not because it was dropped.

Hope this helps.

An old trick is to put it in the battery in the fridge for approx 2 mins, (dont get it wet) and then take into a dark closet to see if a slight glow is visable through the seems in which case . . . the juice is leaking out man . . . my kids do this all the tim ewith their toy batteries . . you know kids.

It still works since I tried putting it back on. I was just wondering if the internal circuits were damaged or not since I heard when you drop a battery there's a chance something major internally could be damaged and you wouldn't know, and that when you still use it you risk damaging the camera. That's why I'm leary and skeptical about using this battery.
