AAHHH... help! Firewire/G5 problems...

I'm at a complete loss. When I export SD video from my G5 Quad to a Mini-DV deck via firewire, the signal goes all funky... the audio goes to a very loud buzz, and the video turns into bright colored rectangles. I have a Kona LHe installed in the computer for HD work, and it works like a charm. The SD firewire problems started creeping up after I installed the card. I called Kona to ask if they have ever had any problems with the card interfering with firewire input/export, and they were dumbfounded. I've checked the cable and deck with a Powerbook, and they work fine. I had the G5 in for warranty work, and I had them check the firewire ports, which are fine. I'm at a total loss... any clues?

I would do the two things first -
1. Make sure the codec is correct.
2. Try another FireWire card (not built-in port)

Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for that card. Sounds like it's something with the Kona Card. I've never heard of buzzing problems when exporting.

Dammit markwl- I thought I was the lone Flat Eric guy on board here! :p
