Hey guys how are you....
I need some instructions on how to use the multicamera system on fcp 5
I know that I need to put in points in the beiginng of each clip and then creat a multicam track .... but after that I'm confused I have no Idea what to do ... since when I try it ...it shows me the six cam ... in the viewer but when I press play they don't so I have to guess wich camera is going to be good... it sucks .... please I have a crazy deadline for tonight at 5 in the morning .... help....9 more song to go.... and with this I will fly .... HELPPPPP

You really need to read the owners manual. The BEST tutorial to learn it is in the Apple Pro Training Series book, "Final Cut Pro 5". You have to set the playhead sync, etc. It's more than I care to type at the moment. Maybe someone else who hasn't just completed a 12 hour drive from Florida to Louisiana has the energy.

Open it in the Viewer, then drop it into the Timeline, open that version from the Timeline to the Viewer, set playhead sync to Open, set the audio and video in the drop down menu in the Viewer, play, click on each camera as you play. Then select all in Timeline, right click, choose Collapse Multiclip, tweak edits like a normal video track.

Man, it's just too much to type for me at the moment.

Thanks for the explanation BenB. I was having trouble with this until your explanation. Now it's working flawlessly.

 Hello,

Have any of you guys used a PANASONIC PROLINE AG-DVC30P as a standby camera? The listing says that it uses film-like gamma technology. Does the 30p even come close, and will it match up with footage taken on a dvx100, 100b?

I am looking for a 3rd camera that won't hurt my pockets and price-wise this camera is looking good.

Thanks,
