A Watercolor by me

[J.R. Hudson]

Last year I showed you an Oil I did (The black and White portrait); I felt like sharing again. This is awatercolor I did a handful of years ago and now hangs in my sons room

It is cropped; in the upper left there is an island and palm trees but there was relection from glass on it.

Anyway; just sharing and not lookig for any serious feedback; I love painting probably will not ever get serious about it until tmy later years :undecided

Looks good, John...

[HorseFilms]

That's damn good. I've never been able to draw or paint.

[dakotapod]

NICE! - Man, I really, really dig that!

[J.R. Hudson]

Tks dudes! Watercolor is trippy becasue it's a kind of negative; whereas White is the White of the paper and Oil has White being actual Paint.

The cool thing is you paint Dark to Light anyway (I do).

John,

I really like it. Watercolor is a love/hate thing for me, with pictures I either think it looks great or it looks like sh!t.

[J.R. Hudson]

Totally. Art (painting) pisses me off more than any other art form. I have literally destoyed canvasses of almost completed paintings because I hated them.

You an see in this one where I lost my patience; behind the surfer the horizontal mask dots. Sloppy.

[KOVAROVA]

perfect with this incredible weather we are having here in So Cal..

[J.R. Hudson]

Is'nt it great ?

I'm wearing sandals and shorts and my infamous muscle shirt. (when you have guns............................)

[Steve Strickland]

Wow. Nice job, man. I really like the spray in the foreground.

[greeches]

really nice. Very impressed w/ anyone that can draw/paint... just don't know how you do it! Pure talent.

[J.R. Hudson]

You guys are too cool !

John,

I love it.

My mother has painted and taught watercolor painting her whole life. My house is filled with her work (and movie posters).

I love the sense of motion and energy you captured as well as the translucent nature water.

Very cool stuff.

I just wish my mom had passed on some of her painting talent to me.

[Michael Summers]

trippy

[kimko]

hey i like it, water colors are hard to do and i like the beads of water on the camera lens i think thats what they are.

Looks good John. Watercolors always seem very difficult to me. I've mucked around w/ some oils, and like to throw down an impressionistic type painting every now and again. Watercolors just seem too hard to control. It looks pretty damn good though.
