I just wanted to share my excitement about my current short film project "A Toaster in Space".

We have put together an amazing crew including Norm Li as our Director of Photography and Jay Rodriguez (aka Coffee) as our Camera Assistant.

This is our first film with a real budget, full crew, and SAG actors.

We signed our contract with SAG last week and today we posted our ad for a lead actress on Back Stage and Breakdown Services. Within 3 hours I had over 300 head shots and resumes (and they are still rolling in every minute).

We are shooting this April and so far I am enjoying every minute of it.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks, because I couldn't of done any of it without DVXUser.

Chris--that sounds fantastic. That's really what this board is about. I'm sure your production is really going to rock with such a tight script and solid crew and cast And Coffee's gotta be worth his weight in good BTS footage. :)

I've been on two shoots with Coffee now (one mine and one his) and he is definitely a lot of fun to be around. :cheesy:

We will be shooting in Chatham and Morris Plains. It's a hell of a long bike ride. :)

I just finished reading the script, and man, I'm impressed. What a great story. I really like your writing style. I'm looking forward to seeing the film.

It would look better if I was the DP..... ; )

Just kidding. I'm really looking forward to working with Norm on this. Being so new to "doing it all", I have alot to learn and picking up on some new approaches to filmmaking is my cup of tea, or should I say coffee. : ) haha, I know, I'm corney.

I've been reading your threads and watching/studying all of your past work (trying to step my skills up a couple of notches). Good Luck and I'm eager to see it when it's out.
