If I was shooting in 60i 30p & 24p w/the dvx and then capturing this project's footage in a 24p timeline to adjust for smooth fast & slow motion,
Could I output this to DVD?
Does outputting to DVD require that you work in a regular(60i) timeline?
Thanks in advance for any help or feedback!!

You have at least 2 different questions here.

1) If you shot footage at 60i, 30p, and 24p (that's 24p regular, NOT advanced), then all of this footage can (and SHOULD) be edited on a 60i timeline.

This can be output to a DVD using whatever process you usually use.

2) DVD's can be made with 60i(30p) material (24p regular material is 24p footage laid down with 2:3:2:3 pulldown on 60i footage). DVD's can also be made in true 24p. This is best used when shooting 24pa footage to begin with, editing in a 24p timeline, then outputting to a 24p DVD.

Background on the differences between 24p and 24pa can be found on Adam Wilt's website at
http://adamwilt.com/24p/index.html

Also see the sticky near the top of this section on how to capture 24pa material to use on a 24p timeline.
