A serious question.

[J.R. Hudson]

A serious question for the council:

If Patricia Clarkson can be nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for Pieces of April which was shot on the Sony DSR-PD150...

How long before a film is nominated for Best Picture that is shot in this format?

Re: A serious question.

2 years, 9 days, 6 hours, 32 minutes and 28 seconds...

You bring up a good point though... Prosumer cams are much more accepted than they ever have been. The gap is slowly getting smaller! It's always exciting to know a prosumer cam like the pd150 is used for motion pictures...gives me hope that my lil dvx can crank out something filmworthy as well!

crazy huh? I was down in florida about a mile from the UCF campus where those guys went to school when that came out. The hype was pretty big down there. It's exciting to think now we all have the tools in our sweaty little hands to make the next big thing... (if only we have the idea.)
