you won't go see a movie based on someone elses subjective viewpoint? thats sorta weird coming from a filmmaker.
If we all based a movie on what others think (or a trailer which trailer always glorify the sex&violence) none of us would have seen Requiem for a Dream either.

Artistic or not, lines have to be drawn on what is art versus what is obscene and inappropriate.
Eh. Misery or Joy. Fear or Happiness. Sadness or Hope.I wish I could UNsee Requiem for a Dream.
I just don't understand the attraction of films about deep, deepening, and deepest misery. Then add in vast amounts of violence, too -- just don't get it.
There's a difference in emotions, but to say one emotion is better or worse than another is just plain wrong. We need to exercise the full spectrum. If there were no difference in emotions, there would be no POINT in emotions.

Really? Be careful of the flags you raise lest the wrong people start rallying around them. I'm sure there is art we all cherish which infringes on what someone else deems 'obscene and inappropriate'.
If you want to watch it man, nobody is stopping you...
Perhaps you haven't read the entire thread?
Oh, I read the whole thing.
Then you can see how your regards towards my personal opinion on watching the film is a mistake. Although it may not matter because it appears to me you may be taking the issue personally.

But my regards to what?
That seemed a bit more like YOUR regards towards MY personal opinoin...So really, I have no clue what you're referring to.
Your suggestion that I would want to watch it.
But clearly I misunderstood your intent.
My suggestion was for anyone to watch whatever their heart desires and it being their right to do so, not for you to watch it specifically.
It's all good man, wasn't trying to attack you (or anyone for that matter), just trying to clear things up.
