a question about Color

I'm just learning Color and just did Ch. 1 of the Apple Pro Training book. The only problem I had was in the Secondary room where I couldn't seem to get any changes to take place to the selected items. For instance, I selected a green door and tried to change it to yellow. I clicked on the color dropper and the enabled box came on, selected the green door. But no matter how much I moved the color sliders no color change appeared on the door. I'm stumped as to why this happened. In all the other rooms the sliders effected changes properly.

Could anyone suggest what I might try? I really would love to be able to adjust the color of selected items.

I'm working with Color from FCS2. PowerMac G5.

Been awhile since I used it, but you have to enable the 2nd'ary room before it will affect your clip. Their is a check box somewhere on the menu.

Also, there is a bug in Color where the sliders and other controls sometimes become unresponsive. The solution when this happens is simply to click on another clip in your timeline and then re-select the clip you were adjusting. The sliders should now be responsive again.

Thanks for the responses -- I do know I checked the enabled box. But I will try that other thing about working around the possible bug in Color and let you know if that was the problem.

Well I tried simply selecting another clip and then coming back to the clip I want but the sliders are still unresponsive. Does anyone have any other ideas for things I might try? It just seems like this is the only thing that isn't working...

One other idea comes to mind. You might want to switch to the mask view in the secondary room to see what pixels are selected. It's possible, particularly if you didn't click in several areas, that you have selected very few pixels and your adjustments are changing only those pixels, so you aren't seeing the changes.
