A place to post your high framerate movies.

You mean their Flash player runs at 120 fps? That's ridiculous. You'd need quite a bit of computer power to run that at any decent resolution.

The 50p version does look a lot more like TV. The problem is that if you're running a Flash player at 120 fps, 120/50 = 2.4 and 120/25 = 4.8. Since they don't fit perfectly, some kind of conversion must be performed. This is also why 25p can look weird on Vimeo, which runs at 30. A Flash player with an adaptive framerate or HTML5 video would be best.

if you play back 120fps at 120fps, it wouldn't be in slow motion.

Playing 120fps at 24fps is slowmotion.... Youtube can do this... :D

would not 30fps at a very high frame rate above perhaps 1/250th & up with proper lighting not achieve the same effect?

unless you want the ability to watch in realtime, without dropping frames, and slow down at will to watch at say 120fps at 1/4 speed of 30fps or whatever rate...

seems like a waste really.
