A newbe question: AE and HD

Hi Guys,

I have AE 6.5 which I never really use all that much, still have got a lot to learn.
I also got FCP 5.0, on which I edit both SD and HD projects.
My question is- Can AE 6.5 be used to manipulate HD images edited on FCP?
Which versions of AE are compatible with HD and/or 24p?
