Ya, i did. Thanks Hudson, the reason I don't incorporate it into any photo is because this should be a brand mark. A "logo" per say is a brandable image that can translate across different mediums (shirts, website, print, etc). A photo behind it would clutter it up I believe.
should have placed that rule of thunb down from the start. it is true what kai says. Every designer will tell you the same thing about having a brand mark-which ultimately is versatile in many forms.
i think ill stop now because i can't create any logos. Kai, can i loan your dvx stamp if it doesn't make it here?
Some interesting logos, but I haven't seen the "the one" just yet. Kai--very professional, but it seems a bit cold and corporate, and the beveled brushed chrome is kind of '90s WinAmp skin. Some of your other work seems more hip and organic looking. I do agree that the logo should be clean and easily translatable to t-shirts and other swag. A lot of the good stuff I'm seeing these days has moved away from the beveled/reflective/Photoshop look to much cleaner Illustrator originated designs.
what do you think? it took me about 4 hours to get it the way i wanted, but im pretty happy with it now. this is oing to be a rough competition now that ive entered this one as well!
