a new idea for camera developers...

dont know if this is illogical or wont work.. but aside from a larger censor (red) and on top of a lens adapter.. is it possible to controll the speed of the digital tape and would that even create the fast motion/slow motion we all want? i know its definatly a no go in cameras we already have but if a manufacturer created this possibility would it work? is this how the hvx does it? let me know..

and how affect the speed of the tape in the low motion if the tape is writen in digital, not analogic.... I think the low motion procces is more about the frames the camera can record, for example, if I film in 100fps and the play that materia at 25 fps, the speed form the read material will be 4 times slower, 1 recorded second play in 4 seconds.

the varicam already cranks the tape fast to capture enough data in order to obtain the HD signal. to do variable frame rates, it captures the same way.
