A new bread of filmmakers! Who are the Underdogs?

Hello.
I'm about to start shooting a documentry about the major generation shift that's taking place in Sweden concerning the industry. The old filmmakers who have set the standards of what Swedsih filmmaking is are slowly stepping out of the "arena". The question is; who will decide what tomorrows industry will look like and what is this is new generation thinking, wanting and streching for The ones that are knocking on the door, eager to come into the arena. A guestion I'd like to pose is what can we expect from the new generation to come and what is it we need to bring with us from the generation that has been? Please feel to speak out!

thats a complex question.... one could write an essay (or make a film :beer: ) posing this question

I'd say that the biggest change is the shift towards "reality" or "realistic" over the set/studio tradition

then theres the big shift from celluloid to HD..... again, that goes hand in hand with "reality" cuz the cams are smaller and the crews are leaner, enabling the filmmaker to have alot more mobility and whatnot

then theres the shortening of peoples attn spans (re: any MTV spot ever made)..... but not only that, its technology that has made people want content EASY AND FAST, instant gratification

man.... this is just barely scratching the surface..... you got an interesting idea for a film IMO

But in all seriousness, it sounds like a really intriguing project.
