While I was checking out the DVX footage and captures forum.
I was thinking,


Whats the best way to show your work online?

I am trying the trial version of .mac. Its a little tedious and the screen that display my video is awfully small. I dont know if this is because its the trial version or I just dont know what the hell Im doing. (its the latter)

Or should I go from scratch, get a domain name and start from there?

The HELL it is, it is a LOT tedious!! Your best bet is to upload it into your sites folder. That will give you a direct link that then people can right-click and download the target. If you put it into your PUBLIC folder, .mac adds a compression to it that makes it a REAL pain to DL.

A site folder?
Is this still .mac?

is this when you upload it to your idisk and give out your password for people to get into it?

Dude, using your own site, you will need a lot of bandwidth, because the number of DVX users is increasing every day.
