A little bummed with Merlin

I think Steadicam Merlin is a great rig, though it may not be for me. I was a little disappointed when I found out you needed two hands to keep everything steady, well, it's just... you have to put your hand on that little tongue thing and my wrist is so close to the plate and that if I make an unexpected movement, I could bump the plate and ruin the shot.

I guess another title of this thread should be, is the Glidecam right for me?

All steadi-cam, glide-cam, and etc require two hands for stable results. I can't speak for the merlin as I have not used it but most likely proper set up and practice of use will be the keys to success.
