Hey guys,
I'm trying to decide which way I want to go audio wise. I know the standard is something like the Shure FP-33 mixer. What have you heard about the M-Audio firewire 410 for field recording using a laptop and software. I'll be using a boom. It would be nice to have something portable for run and gun kind of shorts. Let me know what you thnk.
Peace,
Dave

M-audio is a very impressive 24bit recorder, although If you are are using a laptop I wouldnt recommend running around with a laptop.

Zoom,
I don't like the idea either. I guess I can't go wrong with the Shure FP-33.

Biscuit,
Why are you sold? How are you using them?

it is way easier to buy a couple minidisc's and hook a mic to them and place them then have cables running to a mixer.
