A good read.....encouragement

yes, encouraging, but disturbing when people start to "buy" their way into a production, vs. learn and apply good skills, first.
 
Well you just need to look at the good parts, everywhere there's the "I'll buy myself a career" types...sadly.

How long does that work though? I would think that the playing field has been levelled by these developments. We seem to be getting past the debate of format and back to what matters: content.

I think that is very positive..maybe a little too hopeful there.

I guess it is fine to buy your way into productions..eventually, true talent shows for itself. plus, you have to start somewhere and if you can afford it, money never hurts. nowadays, it just doesn't take as much $.

Yes its been going on in many industries for a long time.
