I'm sorry my urgent posts, but I have problems with time.
Can you seggest me an interesting video card (graphic card) for Edius NX?
I will use it in different works, not only for editing HDV.
I like to spend max 150 euro. I like ATI brand. I have a full HD 24" monitor. I hope a cheap graphic card will works well with this monitor too.
thanks

an ati radeon chip is value for money. Look for a card with DDR2 type of ram. Make sure it is dedicated ram of at least 256mb and not hypermemory where it has a small onboard ram size and gets its other ram requirements from your motherboard attached ram.

Hope that helps.

By the way, what NX card do you have, PCI or PCI-X?

I have Edius NX PCI Express. Can you tell me if that graphic card will have repercussions on the full HD 24" monitor? That is will I see fine like a better graphic card?
thanks

an ATI radeon chipset is good and just check if supports Open GL. You'll be ok if it has those.

If you say 24" HD monitor, do you mean, your computer LCD monitor ? or the HD monitor you connect via the edius NX card?

Yes I have a 24" HD LCD monitor.
thanks

this 24"lcd hd monitor. Do you connect it to the graphics card you want to buy via dvi out? or to your canopus NX card via component?

I don't know. Give me an advice if it is better to connect this 24"lcd hd monitor to anopus NX card or to a graphic card via dvi out.
thanks

what interfaces does your monitor have? VGA, DVI, and what else? I guess this should be your computer monitor. What brand and model is it? These issues can best be answered with the question of, -what final output do you do with your projects? If you end up with DVD out, then you connect a true NTSC or PAL video monitor to your NX. Use your LCD as your desktop monitor.

My monitor is a Samsung SyncMaster 244T and it has every interface. It is my computer desktop. In my projects I save the film on the HDV tape in Pal format.
I hope your reply will be in short time.
I will need a expesicve video card like SAPPHIRE RADEON X1950XT PRO 256MB GDDR3 or is sufficient the ATI Radeon x1650 Pro DDR3? I edit only HDV.
thanks
