Any of you guys now a really good comedian?

My friend showed me this guy - Russell Peters the other day and he is amazing! I know nothing about this genre so I'm looking for some guidelines...

If any of you point me in some direction so I can have fun I would be greatfull!

//I also heard about this group blue collar but i know nothing about them...

Dave Chappelle is awsome. He basically makes fun of everyone. Blue collar is funny if you don't mind redneck/hillbilly oriented comedy. Some of the older will ferrel episodes of Saturday Night Live are great (more cowbell anyone?)

A great comedian who comes to mind is Mitch Hedberg, who passed away recently.

Here's a few others that I dig...

George Burns
Bob Hope
Bill Cosby
Johnny Carson
George Carlin
Richard Pryor
Carol Burnett
Tim Conway
Harvey Korman
Steve Martin
Eddie Murphy
Kevin Pollack
Chris Rock
Garry Shandling
Roseanne Barr
Jerry Seinfeld
Ellen DeGeneres
Jim Carrey
Dennis Miller
Denis Leary
Damon Wayans
Adam Sandler
Stephen Wright
Conan O'Brien

thanks guys!!!

PDX_DVX, I will check out Dave Chappelle. I really have to see more of Will Ferrel stuff. Cowbell is awesome... ("Fellas, I'm telling you - you're gonna want that cowbell") :) :)

Terry, the link is great! Pity I don't have this comedy central channel... But I learned about 100 greatest standups of all time :)

Definitely check out Mitch, one of the funniest people that has ever come to pass.

Stephen Lynch is really good, so is Nick Shwartz.

Funny looking doesn't count JP.

That is to say, unless we can all point and laugh.

oh man thank you dj200....I thought there was no hope for mankind if it took 2 pages until someone said Dane Cook.

I saw him a couple of weeks ago on his little tour he is doing. the funniest night of my life.
