A Friend's Wedding Video

They had a nice venue... looks like a really nice wedding (event). As for the video... lots of nice shots and a beautiful couple... but for promotion of the creators, the music seems overbearing for the content.

Also... I'm just wondering... at the end, the little hot-air lanterns? "Be free little wild fires... find some rooftop!" (*laughing*... what am I looking at there? Is that what's going on? Fireballs sent off in the wind?)

Visually very cool. I wanted to have all those fog effects for my own, but the venue didn't allow it. :(

I agree with Matt -- the music is wrong. Doesn't fit it at all.

A little over-dramatic? Oh, yeah. You should see the stills. Looks like they're from a fashion mag. Lovely, lovely, photos. But good grief.

LOL, you guys. Its a wedding vid. That's a norm now a days. Over the top, something to post on vid hosting to get views and buzz. Gone are the days of elegance, dignity and allowing the union of two people that love each other to speak for it's self. I knew this was going to happen the first time I saw an ad for "adventure weddings".

Today...it seems its go big or go home. Thank you, YouTube Generation.

The symphonic choral accompaniment was absolutely hilarious! Whether it was meant to be so or not... well, who cares.

There's a guy in my area... Gebbs Wedding Films. He's exceptional at this sort of production... he'll have several shots in a wedding "film" that would be memorable in any other type of production.

While I don't agree with the bombastic soundtrack... I don't have a problem with the cinematic production, especially when the couple already look like beautiful actors.

What struck me immediately was the total lack of hand-held annoyance. Made it work for him. I think, anyway.

I'm always intrigued whenever anyone uses Dutch angles. I very rarely even think about doing this myself, but it seems to help with dance footage.
