A few questions about the Letus35

Well if my only limitation is not going longer than 50mm I can live with that. Most of the time I like to play it wider than that and for handheld even using a 50 get pretty shaky. If thats the only limitation I can live with it.

My Letus35 arrived yesterday, took 5 minutes to attach to HVX, very easy (because of alot research on the forums). Even interior with 50mm 1.4 lens looks great. (ok we have alot of windows in holland :)) But it all looks great to me. Can't wait for next production!

Good luck with it. I've got my first shoot with it on the 27th of September. All my tests rock!

I've been using a Letus for almost a year and a half now, and whilst I agree that the image is sexy and it's nice that it flips yer stuff straight off the glass, I'm now well and truly ready to take my lenses and move on to a more solidly built adapter.

I've treated it pretty well (no kitten gloves, but solid Pelican case and considerate handling) and the engineering is kinda falling to bits - thinks shift and slide a little, which raises headaches in trying to maintain backfocus evenly across the image.

Give me Brevis. I'll pay the extra money and deal with the image flip work-arounds to have something that I feel is reliable. And as has been pointed out before, it's just as much the glass in front of the adapter that gets you where ya wanna go...

But I do have to take my hat off to Quyen for making it affordable and still good quality. So long Letus. I'll miss you, buddy.

that sounded kinda sad. I'm a relatively new user but impressed with the Letus FE. If I get a year and a half of awesome images, I'll be sending Quyen a birthday card.

The Letus units are great, but whether you have the Letus, Redrock, Cinevate or the Mini35 you need the best prime lenses - Nikon AI's. You can see a selection of prime lenses just for Cinema Lens Adapters at our site Lenses35.com. Mike, Lenses35.com
