Greetings,
Decided to put up a few mic samples for everyone to listen to. They were done outside under my porch at night. I was seated with each mic being about 3 feet away from my mouth at a 45deg angle. The mics were facing away from a road which is about 90-100 yards away. I measured each mic so that from the tip of the capsule to the mic holder was 1 inch. This was to make sure they were all the same distance from my mouth. I'm reading a kids story, because I wanted something different than just 1,2,3.. and fighting a sinus problem. Damm hurricanes kicked up the mold count down here. Also, at the end of the reading I let it roll for about 10 seconds so you could hear the BK noise, which you should hear the insects chirping away. The was recording was done with the Sound Devices 788t. The mics are Oktava MK012, AKG 480ULS with CK63 Hyper/CK69 Short/ CK69 Long, Neumann KMR81/KMR82, Sanken CS3e, AKG Blue with CK93/CK98. None of the mics had Wind protection.
