I've shot roughly two hours of footage for a 4minute music video. I used a Canon XH A1 primarily 24f, with a few takes at 60i.
So a few basic questions:
1) All of the material is green screen. I was lucky enough to have the space, time and lights to pull this off. Since I shot in HDV, I've decided to capture in HDV, then convert to the new ProRes codec for editing. I do believe I misunderstood what I've read, so please clarify. When doing compositing, chroma keying, and coloring in Shake, etc., should I be using the HDV footage or ProRes?
2) Is it wise to do a basic color(level) correction before keying, will this effect my ability to pull a good key?
Thanks guys.
