A DVXuser no more

NO CA$H said:
Just don't go Sony on us.
*hiss* (like Roddy McDowell's Death in Planet of The Apes 3) :undecided

Being a DVXuser is a mindset, my friend. Similar to drug abusers and alcoholics, even if we stop "the vice", we're still selfish, ruthless bastards who demand the best for the cheapest. Panasonic, Canon, Sony, and JVC both love and despise us.

For the record PK the title of the thread is wrong... You are a DVX user no more.... You can never be a DVXuser no more...

Thanks for all the kind posts. I thought there would just be a lot of "Good riddens! I was getting tired of hearing about helmets and Isara everyday. So does this mean we can remove the blue man logo from our sigs?" :)

I sold the camera to a DVXuser member for about $2000 (DVX100, pro-bag, Bogen tripod, 501 head, Azden shotgun, 2 big batteries, and some Thai products thrown in for good measure). The money was needed to fund expansion of the Isara projects to other areas of Thailand and to Africa. (Come on, you didn't think I could make a post without bringing up my website, did ya?)

If you want to help please visit http://www.isara.com/news/ :)

Thanks again for your support. Glad to know I still have a home at DVXuser, despite my lack of a DVX. It's like coming out of the DVXuser closet and still having friends and family accept who you are. Thank you.

Hmm... I dunno'...

"Pookie" and PK... both have a "p" and a "k" in them.

He'd have gotten away with it too if it hadn't been for this meddling kid.

Good to hear that you atleast put it to good cause man!

at first..i thought u ended up like i did in my situation...dare i not speak of such actions that have fated my beloved camera...

Matt - You know what happens to people who meddle. ....You've been warned.

:)

blckhawk542 - Wait, was that the dreaded fire of 2005? Wasn't that what happened to your camera? Ouch!

YES! the FIRE!!

the year that will live on in my heart foreverrrrr.......atleast untill June if i get another one.

but yes...the feirce firey pit of doom as i staggered over that pipe of doom..and POP goes the camera out of my hands into the pit of doooooooooooom...and POOOOOOOF! a loud sound silences me and friends around....and then....the dark ages came about.....until....i went to an expo..and held the 100b in my hands....I then saw a light...it was a bright light...no no...wasnt god....it was....the amount of exposure let in by that beast on this high rez monitor...then I...dboz fell in love with this new form of my past....and now I will sit here...watch and wait..untill i can unleash my potential!!

No worries PK--the DVX was in your in heart and it's been there all along. Now we just need a skilled surgeon and a hospital that accepts PayPal.

But now how are we going to see Thai students singing Christmas carols?

Is this the end of Laundry Day? Have you used up your last dryer sheet, and now it's time to go home?

I think what you're doing for Isara is very inspiring. More power to ya!

By the way, thanks for selling me the DVX. I'll be re-selling it out of a Brooklyn "store" I just opened. For vastly inflated prices. And my special "No -Guarantee Guarantee". I'll definitely be able to sell your camera... five or six times. Again, thanks for helping my criminal enterprise.:engel017:

The good news is it isn't the camera... it never was... and it never will be.

Things don't make people, people make things.

Don't be a stranger PK... sometimes I wonder if 75% of the members don't own a DVX anyway. Really I could care less... it's just a thing.
