A day from Hell.

Yesterday was one of those days, First I spilled Redbull all over my new mac Keyboard and now every button sticks, Then I trip up the stairs and spill the rest of my drink, Then my daughter throws up all over her self and the car on our way to best buy and when I get out to help her my son throws a toy and it hits me in my eye, And at work we had 3 accidents in one hour and on my way home I got pulled over.

I just had to vent. The universe is telling me something, I just don't what I did or who I did it to.

Well...for what little it's worth there are plenty of people planet-wide who had even worse days, than you did...

...although they probably managed not to spill their Red Bulls.

Please, a moment for the Red Bull, may it fizz in peace.

I can relate.
I was shooting interviews about adopting Haitian orphans today in Miami (as a freelancer) for a foreign reporter.

He was more concerned with chatting with the subject for almost an hour before the interview and 20 minutes after as I kept reminding him of a live shot (HIS live shot) rapidly approaching.

We finally leave, maybe enough time to get back, definitely not enough time to set up, so when I see the yellow light...

... I punch it, and a cop (motorcycle cop, no less, the worst), runs into the road holding up his hand (crazy act in itself), motions me to the side of the road.

I ask if he writes warnings- "No".

He has 2 drivers already pulled over.

I ask if he can write me up quickly, please. He does write me up first, stopping only to pull over another 2 cars- 5 cars in less than 10 minutes!

We miss the noon hit, I'm sprinting connecting cables and HMIs... and I sprain my ankle.
Now I'm hobbling with cables...

So I got stuck with a $245 ticket, putting a good chunk of my day rate in city coffers and not in my wallet.

And I get to work another 2 days with this reporter, plus I'm a gimp... what a day in Hell. But no Red Bull was involved...

It seems contagious. I got a call from the bank that somebody is trying to buy electronics with my credit card number. I squished one of our barn cats with a bale of hay from about 15 feet (he seems OK), and it seems the last time I used my HVX ( a little over a week ago) I left my case open while charging batteries, put them back in when charged, and opened it up this evening to prep for a shoot, to find a cat had pissed in the case, and I did not notice. Aside from the nasty stank it seems I am in need of a rental as my camera is Kaputt.

^ But Richard has throwup in his car.

Yeah, you can't really top that. I know, there are people having worse days, but throwup in the car.... there's not a pinetree in the world you can hang from your mirror to fix that.

My daughter spilled an angry can of Mr. Fizzy all over my laptop nearly two years ago. And when she was just a wee thing, I picked her up from daycare and hoisted her up onto my hip to carry her to the car. She says, "Mama, I dont feel good" and before I could check her head for fever, she threw up right down my cleavage. For those of you who dont know (and might well have gone the rest of your life without knowing), Body By Victoria underwires are as good as ziplocs. The "chunder" got no further than the cups. :D

Sometimes things don't happen because of something we did, but of a way in which we are behaving. I have no clue if that is the case or not, just trying to offer some perspective. Perhaps your Red Bull holds some symbolism in this little story. Hope the hero gets the girl in the end. :)

My kid threw up all over his car seat and a little bit of the regular seat a few weeks ago. What a mess. Puke gets everywhere, in all the seat belt latches, etc.

Now I have a new-found respect for anyone who is in the crime scene cleanup biz (like Sunshine Cleaners )
