A couple exporting problems.....

Thank you for your time. Just so you know I have attempted to look for my answers but haven't seen the specifics I'm looking for.


I have finished the editing for my project. I go to export the timeline, both as movie (to become one file), and to dvd.

A problem arises for each one.

Whe I try to export as movie.....
Adobe begins rendering the frames (normal), but after a little time(17%), an error window pops up that says there is an "error compiling movie - disk full".

When I try to export to DVD.....
The blank disc is read, but at the bottom of the window it says, "Disk space required 4.73, Available 4.38, insufficient spce".

I'm very confused. What is the "disk space"? Both my hard drives have atleast 6 gigs of space. The blank dvd-r''s and +r's are the required 4.78 gigs.

Does this have something to do with my dvd burner, and-or , lack there of? I have great specs for this comp but am not sure about the dvd burner. If that is the problem, how do I check?

Also, if the problem is the DVD burner, then why is it when I try to export the timeline to a "movie" does it say error disk full? The export to movie just turns it into a file, what does that have to do with the burner?

Sounds like you need to free up some Disk Space!
If the file is 4.3 gig you need at least 10 gig of hard drive space.

there are others factors to take into acount and get rely on 6 gigs to createa 4.7 gig file. Virtual memory and the conversion of kilobytes to megabyts is not exactly 1000
