A cheap lens gear for Gini Follow Focus

Hey I just won a Gini rig with FF and am not sure if I will be getting any lens gears with it (had none in the package but I have heard of people getting extras for free) and the Gini Gears are a little expensive and I can't afford them at the moment. So I was wondering if anyone knew if this lens gear should work,

It looks like it might work as a decent temporary lens gear till I have extra cash to get better lens Gear (which brings up the question what actually makes a lens gear better than others?)

Another option I was told was the Wide Open Camera lens gears are also good but they are a little more money

so any recommendations?

I messaged Gini right after I won an auction for a rig/ff combo and asked if he could bundle a gear if I bought one to save on shipping. He didn't respond but a free one arrived in my package. Unfortunately it's way to large for my lenses so I had to order another one. I ordered this set because the seller had good reviews and it has several different sizes in case I rent or borrow a different size lens.
I'll give you a review of it when I get it in if you want.

I haven't had any problem with $10 gears off eBay. I don't use my camera heavily but it's just toothed rubber, as long as it stays tight I can't see what could go wrong. Just cut to length and tighten them up. I have hard stops on my follow focus and I haven't had the focus creep on me yet. I can't comment on the plastic exo-skeleton type ones turbojeffrey mentioned but I imagine the same goes for them. As far as I can tell gears only really need to have two qualities: correct pitch and no slipping. If there's a reason to spend any more on a gear I'd like to hear it.
