Has anyone used these bulbs, and purchased from these dealers before?

I'm going to put them in china balls. I was originally going to purchase some of these:

But they get bad ratings on reseller ratings. Also these where out of stock:

This is kinda driving me nuts because their are too many options..... and most of these sites seem like a scam.

Did you try checking at your nearest lighting store? They're pretty cheap now, and you can test everything they have for brightness/colour rendition before buying. Plus you don't have to worry about shipping damage.

Really?

What kind of lighting stores are there? I'm mean my Home Depot doesn't having anything like that, all their bulbs are like 70 cri or lower.

Actually the N:Vision bulbs are about CRI 82. They have been used by many here as a fix for China balls and come in 3500K and 5500K among others.

In my china ball I am using 2 65W (300 equiv) bulbs for a total of 600 in my china ball. I used a standard socket and put in a Y splitter (2 sockets) Works great.

I found mine at Lowes, the home depot and rona didnt have anything.

Cool, so are the alzo ones actually 5500k like the site says?

Austinv, so you think I would have better luck at Lowes? Are your bulbs at least 5500k and a high cri?

I've bought two of the 85w bulbs and they pack quite a punch. I'd say that 5500 is correct. The bulb gets warm but not so much so that it can't be handled. The only problem I had with mine is that the socket broke off the bottom. The wires were still connected but the plastic part actually caved in. 1lb is a lot of weight to put on a tiny socket especially if you abuse it the way we did with a lot of run and gun and with the bulb held horizontally. Either mount it laterally or find a way to support the giant bulb. After a little epoxy my light is back in service.
