8-Point Garbage Matte

Is there any way to move each point via mouse as you would a keyframe? Using the crosshair tool is tedius and not accurate enough. I know you can modify it using a choker but I imagine it would be easier moving it from the canvas.

Also, is there any way to move the section you have selected in the canvas rather than keyframing it at different points in the timeline?

After you add the Garbage Matte to a clip, double click that clip to bring it up in the Browser window. Click the FILTER tab and scroll down to your Garbage matte. You'll see your 8 points listed. In the canvas window you will see your 8 points numbered on the screen. Press the + sign of Point 1 in the Browser then go over to your Canvas window and click the cross hair at point 1 and drag to where you want it. Then follow this for all the remaining points. If you need to keyframe something then you just add a keyframe after you make the adjustment.

I just had to use this technique for a project where I needed to blur out female's that were flashing the camera! LOL! I had to use a 4 point Garbage matte for the blur and then keyframe it so the blur stayed over their "Ta-Ta's" ("Wing Bowl Girls" - on my myspace page to see what I mean).

Pressing the (+) sign every time before you drag a point to a new a location will save you a lot of time! You can always use the Edge Feather to soften up the edges as well.

Something so simple I could not figure out how to fine tune a point. Thank you.

My other question is would there be a way to move the entire matte to another position on the clip without changing the size or shape (in order to keyframe)?
