.7xwide convertor & anamorphic

There are cases when it is much better to use the .7xwide convertor instead of the anamorphic adapter????
If yes, it will possible to mix the two different formats in post with FCP, and have a consistent 16x9 final output?
Thank You!

Well, the anamorphic is a .67 wide-angle adapter too, (but only on the horizontal axis). If you were to use the .7 you'd get an image about as wide, but you'd have to chop off the top and bottom, lowering resolution.

So no, I don't really see any point in using the .7, if what you're trying to do is make a 16:9 widescreen project and you already have and are using the anamorphic adapter.

Thank You Barry!

Thank You Barry!
